adults. Latinitas Magazine is the first digital magazine made for and

backgrounds through a spirited approach to media education, outreach
and activism.
Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media (http://www.thegeenadavisinstitute.org/)
works with entertainment creators and companies, educates the next generation
of content-creators, and informs the public about the need to increase
the number of girls and women in media aimed at kids and to reduce stereotyping
of both males and females.
Girls, Women + Media Project (http://www.mediaandwomen.org/)
is a 21st century, non-profit initiative and network, working to increase
awareness of how pop culture and media represent, affect, employ, and
serve girls and women---and to advocate for improvement in those areas.
The Project also seeks to educate and empower all consumers and citizens

CAMPS FOR GIRLS AND YOUNG PEOPLE
Camp Lavender Hill (http://www.camplavenderhill.org/)
offers a week-long summer camp in California for children, ages 9-14,
of Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, and Transgender (LGBT) families. The goal
of the camp is to create a safe and supportive environment for children
of alternative families. The counselors themselves are either LGBT
or were raised in an LGBT family.

is based on a national
program designed to build self-esteem, leadership and physical confidence
in middle school girls through an exploration of trades and non-traditional
activities. During the one-week spring and three-week summer day camps,
girls learn and apply skills in carpentry, welding, and other technical
trades.
FILM AND ART ORGANIZATIONS

is a collaborative national initiative celebrating the Feminist Art
Movement and the aesthetic, intellectual and political impact of women
on the visual arts, art history, and art practice, past and present.
It promotes diverse feminist art events, education and publications

and regional program development throughout the U.S.
Southern California Women’s Caucus for

is one of 27 chapters of the Women's Caucus for Art, a national non-profit
